Taking the first step toward seeking counseling services can feel overwhelming, but you don't have to navigate it alone. My goal is to make the process simple, comfortable, and supportive from the very beginning. Whether this is your first experience with counseling or you're returning after time away, I'm here to provide the mental health support you need!
Click the button to request your first appointment for counseling services through my secure client portal. If you have questions about mental health support before scheduling, you're always welcome to contact me.
Once your appointment for our counseling services is scheduled, you'll receive secure electronic forms to complete before your first session. These include consent forms, a brief personal history, and other information that helps me understand your needs and prepare for our time together in providing mental health support.
Your first session for our counseling services is an opportunity for us to get to know one another. We'll talk about what brings you to counseling, discuss your goals, and begin developing a plan that supports your unique needs while providing the mental health support you seek.
Do you offer virtual sessions for counseling services?
Yes. I provide secure telehealth sessions for clients located in Florida, making it easier to access mental health support from the comfort and privacy of your home or another convenient location.
How long are the counseling sessions?
Most individual counseling sessions last 50–60 minutes. During our initial consultation, we'll discuss your needs and recommend a schedule that best supports your mental health goals.
What if I've never been to therapy before?
That's completely okay. Many of my clients are new to counseling services. Your first session is simply an opportunity for us to get to know one another, talk about what's bringing you in, and discuss your goals. There's no pressure to have everything figured out—we'll take it one step at a time.
Is counseling confidential?
Yes. Your privacy is very important. Counseling sessions are confidential, with a few exceptions required by law, such as concerns about safety or situations involving abuse or neglect. I'll review confidentiality with you during our first appointment and answer any questions you may have regarding mental health support.
Do you accept insurance for counseling services?
I currently offer private-pay services. If requested, I can provide a superbill that you may submit to your insurance company for possible out-of-network reimbursement.
How often will we meet for counseling?
The frequency of counseling is based on your individual needs and goals. Many clients begin with weekly sessions, while others may benefit from biweekly appointments. Together, we'll determine a schedule that best supports your progress in mental health support.
How do I know if we're a good fit for counseling services?
The relationship between you and your counselor is one of the most important factors in successful therapy. During our initial consultation, we'll discuss your concerns, goals, and what you're looking for in mental health support. If we decide we're a good fit, we'll work together to create a plan that supports your growth. If not, I'm happy to help connect you with other resources that may better meet your needs.
Seeking support through counseling services is an investment in your wellbeing, and you don't have to take that step alone. Whether you're navigating a specific challenge or simply looking for a safe place to grow, I'm here to provide mental health support. I look forward to meeting you and walking alongside you as you begin your journey toward healing, hope, and lasting growth.
